PacRep Theatre Presents The Wizard of Oz
Pacific Repertory Theatre announces the opening of its 2024 production of The Wizard of Oz, at Carmel’s Outdoor Forest Theater. The Wizard of Oz will have two discount-priced previews, op donderdag, Augustus 8 bij 7:30 PM and Friday, Augustus 9 bij 7:30 PM. Opening night is set for Saturday, Augustus 10 bij 7:30 PM, which will be followed by a matinee performance on Sunday, Augustus 11 bij 4:00 PM. Performances will continue through September 22. The Wizard of Oz is Directed by Gary Bolen, with Choreography by Sarah Gaudoin and Vocal Direction by Justin Gaudoin.

Monterey County Fair
In addition to rousing family entertainment, kermisattracties, spelletjes, and fun fair-food, the fair provides an opportunity to celebrate Monterey County’s unique history and heritage, from the aquaculture of Monterey’s coast to the abundant produce and wines from its agriculture, and the wonderful home art exhibits to the excitement of the livestock competitions.

Old Monterey Marketplace and Farmers Market
The Old Monterey Marketplace and Farmers Market is held on Alvarado Street every Tuesday, 4uur-19:00, featuring local produce, ambachten, and food vendors. We’re open rain or shine. Carmel by the Sea Farmers Market
The Market features local certified organic fresh farm produce, eggs, plants, fresh cut flowers, and specialty items such as olive oil, hummus, pizza and bread. Green Waste Recovery provides a yellow food scrap bin for compostable items and Sustainable Carmel is often onsite to answer any question regarding composting and recycling. Community Groups can also be seen at the Market working to improve local issues, as well as those with a larger impact.

Monterey Festa Italia Fisherman’s Festival 2024
The annual Festa Italia Fisherman’s Festival honors the local fishermen of Monterey, verleden en heden. Enjoy three days of wonderful Italian food and drink and amazing entertainment, September 6-8 at Custom House Plaza. Hours are Friday, 3uur-09:00; Zaterdag, 10am-9pm; en zondag, 10am-6pm. “POTUS: of, Behind Every Great Dumbass Are Seven Women Trying to Keep Him Alive,” written by playwright Selina Fillinger is a delicious feminist farce about the all-female staff that keeps the country out of war and other sticky situations while babysitting the dullard who holds the highest office in our beleaguered land.

Twilight Cycling
What cyclist wouldn’t enjoy the thrill of a challenging 300-foot climb followed by an awe-inspiring descent? How about the fact that they can do this on a world-renowned race track? Twilight rides allow cyclists of all ages and experience levels the thrill of pedaling WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca’s 11-turn, 2.238-mile course. The ride is highlighted by the legendary Corkscrew that drops 59 feet in just 450 feet of track length. Please note that helmets are required. Track will be open to riders as soon as the renter is off track, and there is a $10 entry fee for each rider.

Pebble Beach Golf Links and Spy Glass Golf Course
The PURE Insurance Championship at Pebble Beach is a 54-hole golf event, featuring 80 PGA TOUR Champions professionals, 80 First Tee juniors, en 160 Amateurs. The tournament is played at Pebble Beach Golf Links and Spyglass Hill Golf Course. Spectators are invited to view PURE Insurance Championship competition Friday through Sunday at Pebble Beach Golf Links. Spyglass Hill Golf Course is closed for spectator viewing. Tickets are not required to attend. Please note public seating and food and beverage will not be available on the course, however Pebble Beach restaurants and retail outlets are open.

4th Annual Dia De Los Whitewalls
Dia De Los Whitewalls has been proudly donating its proceeds to Jacob’s Heart since the first event in 2021. Their mission is to improve the quality of life for children with cancer and support their families in the challenges they face. Jacob’s Heart supports families with a child aged 21 or younger who has received a cancer diagnosis and who reside in Santa Cruz, Monterey, San Benito, or South Santa Clara Counties.

Gridlife Laguna
From its roots in the American Midwest, GRIDLIFE’s Festival experience is now truly coast to coast with its return to WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca September 27- 29, 2024. GRIDLIFE Laguna is the final festival of the season, with the last races of the year for GRIDLIFE Touring Cup, the final round of the NOS Energy TrackBattle Time Attack, and demonstrative drift on track. Off track, a music festival experience highlights the weekend, with an arcade, camping, concours, voedsel leveranciers, en nog veel meer.

Watch jaw-dropping aeronautical acrobatics from the United States Navy Blue Angels, Patriots Jet Team, Metal Mulisha, the Pemberton’s Wing Suit Jump and more. Er zal ook militaire demo, military fly-bys and military/civilian aircraft displays.

Monterey Jazz Festival
The Monterey Jazz Festival is the longest continuously-running jazz festival in the world and is held annually on the 20-acre, oak-studded Monterey County Fairgrounds in Monterey, Calif. Sinds 1958, the nonprofit Monterey Jazz Festival has been committed to celebrating America’s creativity and cultural heritage by presenting legendary jazz musicians, composers, and young rising stars.

Monterey Griekse Festival
Dit jaar, the festival offered a street faire with eat-while-strolling Grecian offerings such as Gyros, Souvlaki, pastries, and cool small bites and salad dishes. The festival was launched with Friday Taverna Night from 5pm to 9pm featuring an evening of sampling mezethes (appetizers), Greek Drinks and dancing to rebetiko, music of the Greek Islands. Saturday and Sunday, began at 11 de, offering a larger selection of Greek Faire and entertainment. All of the recipes used for this event are traditional Greek recipes brought over from Greece. The Greek men and women of St John’s lovingly prepared this flavorful day for you and shared their customs, foods, and music with you. The music, aromas, and location adjacent to the bay quickly transport you back to the magic of Greece, where the joy of life itself is cherished. You hopefully discovered what makes the Greeks the happiest people in the world.

This is a very special year for Porsche as the automaker will be celebrating its 75th anniversary of building legendary sports cars. For Porsche and automobile enthusiasts, there’s no other place to be during these action-filled days. Porsche Rennsport Reunion truly is a Porsche family reunion where you can stroll through the paddock admiring the race cars and talking to their owners, meander through the overflowing Marketplace and car corrals or sit back and enjoy the race cars at speed. The greatest of the greats from Porsche racing history and current factory drivers will be here as well. It just won’t get any better than this.
