This is a very special year for Porsche as the automaker will be celebrating its 75th anniversary of building legendary sports cars. For Porsche and automobile enthusiasts, there’s no other place to be during these action-filled days. Porsche Rennsport Reunion truly is a Porsche family reunion where you can stroll through the paddock admiring the race cars and talking to their owners, meander through the overflowing Marketplace and car corrals or sit back and enjoy the race cars at speed. The greatest of the greats from Porsche racing history and current factory drivers will be here as well. It just won’t get any better than this.

The Old Monterey Marketplace and Farmers Market is held on Alvarado Street every Tuesday, 4pm-7:00, featuring local produce, artes, and food vendors. We’re open rain or shine. Carmel by the Sea Farmers Market
The Market features local certified organic fresh farm produce, eggs, plants, fresh cut flowers, and specialty items such as olive oil, hummus, pizza and bread. Green Waste Recovery provides a yellow food scrap bin for compostable items and Sustainable Carmel is often onsite to answer any question regarding composting and recycling. Community Groups can also be seen at the Market working to improve local issues, as well as those with a larger impact.

A Haunted House – Museum of Horrors
Running Fridays & Sábados, the last four weekends in October: Spooky thrills and chills from the freakiest folks you’ve ever met! The 3rd year for the Artichoke Festival Haunted House brought rocky scares and tunnels of fun for adults and children. Produced in conjunction with the creative team of Escape Room 831 of Monterey, located alongside the Cardinale and Wright Pumpkin Patch at the Monterey County Fair & Event Center. Tickets will be sold online and at the gate.

Rebels & Renegades Music Festival
Rebels & Renegades will once again take place at the Monterey County Fair & Event Center in Monterey, CA, this year bringing music to festival goers over three days; Outubro 6-8, 2023. With Rebels & Renegades, promoters Dan and Amy Sheehan enjoyed the challenge of creating a fresh festival experience grown from their family’s love of exactly what they are programming: left-of-center country, Americana, povo, outlaw, Texas country, bluegrass, and roots music. Reverent when it matters and irreverent where a change would do good, Rebels & Renegades is their nod to the outlaw in everyone. The inaugural year of Rebels & Renegades took place in October of 2022 and was celebrated by Rolling Stone for its “no genres allowed” programming ethos. Bringing the hippies and the cowboys together with some killer music, interactive art stations, a local makers marketplace and delicious food peddlers, Rebels & Renegades salutes the outlaw in all of us.

Annual Pumpkin Roll
Carmel’s Annual Pumpkin-Rolling Contest is now an official event of Carmel-by-the-Sea’s month-long birthday party celebrations throughout October. The official pumpkin-rolling course is right down Ocean Avenue between Santa Rita to Junipero Streets. The course will be lined with hay bales and fencing to keep pumpkins from veering off track and give spectators a front row view of the heart-stopping action. Come join in the fun! If you’d like to participate in Carmel’s Annual Pumpkin-Rolling Contest, look for the truckload of pumpkins parked at Ocean Avenue and Santa Fe Street. Good luck with your pumpkin roll!

107th City Birthday Party & Halloween Parade
The City of Carmel-by-the-Sea was incorporated on Halloween in 1916, so it celebrates its birthday and the country’s favorite costume-and-candy holiday with a Halloween Parade at 4 p.m. through downtown in which all are welcome to participate or spectate. City dignitaries, VIPs, costumed dogs and kids, and residents and visitors alike gather for this upbeat annual affair! Following the parade, the village’s charming shops will be open for trick-or-treating and other fun fall festivities.

Each year the Big Sur Jade Festival brings musicians, artistas, crafts people, and rockhounds together for an annual fundraiser benefiting the South Coast Community Land Trust.
