Old Monterey Marketplace and Farmers Market 
The Old Monterey Marketplace and Farmers Market is held on Alvarado Street every Tuesday, 4pm-7pm, featuring local produce, crafts, and food vendors. We’re open rain or shine. You’re invited to come explore! The Old Monterey Farmers Market, established in 1991, comprises of 3 ½ city blocks and runs year-round rain or shine. You can travel the world in just three blocks, finding arts and crafts, handmade jewelry, furniture, clothing, international food, organic produce, flowers, and pastries.

Twilight Cycling 
What cyclist wouldn’t enjoy the thrill of a challenging 300-foot climb followed by an awe-inspiring descent? How about the fact that they can do this on a world-renowned race track? Twilight rides allow cyclists of all ages and experience levels the thrill of pedaling WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca’s 11-turn, 2.238-mile course. The ride is highlighted by the legendary Corkscrew that drops 59 feet in just 450 feet of track length. Please note that helmets are required. Track will be open to riders as soon as the renter is off track, and there is a $10 entry fee for each rider.

Carmel by the Sea Farmers Market 
The Market features local certified organic fresh farm produce, eggs, plants, fresh cut flowers, and specialty items such as olive oil, hummus, pizza and bread. Green Waste Recovery provides a yellow food scrap bin for compostable items and Sustainable Carmel is often onsite to answer any question regarding composting and recycling. Community Groups can also be seen at the Market working to improve local issues, as well as those with a larger impact.

Abstract Dreams: Free Family Fun Day at Monterey Museum of Art
Monterey Museum of Art presents a Free Family Fun Day on Saturday, August 5, 11am-3pm. Drop by the Museum for a fun-filled afternoon exploring materials and abstraction in art, inspired by our exhibition The Bruton Sisters: Modernism in the Making. Featured art activities will include: abstract mosaics, modernist collage, and painting decorative flowerpots.

Each year this Family Dog Show at the Carmel Valley Community Park has gained increasing popularity in our community, with all types, ages and sizes of dogs.

Pebble Beach Motoring Classic 
The Motoring Classic will take participants on an epic 9 day journey to the ultimate destination in Pebble Beach. The Motoring Classic participant package includes all meals and accommodations and entertainment en route from Kirkland, Washington to Casa Palmero at Pebble Beach.

The Addams Family A New Musical Comedy 
The Addams Family, a comical feast that embraces the wackiness in every family, features an original story and it’s every father’s nightmare: Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family – a man her parents have never met. And if that wasn’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before – keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents.

Monterey Car Week kicks off with a remarkable collection of historic race cars lining Alvarado Street before racing at next week’s Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. Come on down and meet the drivers of these beautiful examples of racing history while enjoying great music and giveaways. This is a great family-friendly event

Monterey Car Week 
All over Monterey County, classic cars take to streets, golf courses, parks and the world-renowned WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca for Monterey Car Week 2023, surrounding visitors with automobiles from yesteryear. Monterey Car Week features nearly 30 car events including car shows, races, auctions, arts and lectures and concludes with the world famous Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.

Monterey Pre-Reunion 
Owners of more than 300 historic race cars, most of which are competing days later in the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion, will get valuable track time in a more relaxed and less-crowded environment. A great chance for fans to get up close to these unique cars and watch them perform. The field is comprised of carefully selected entries by our selection committee. Like the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion, there are no prizes for winning a race or having the fastest lap time, as the reward is the personal fulfillment of challenging oneself against like-minded drivers who want to continue their cars’ racing heritage and share them with others to keep the history of motorsport alive.

Porsche Monterey Classic Partner Event 2023 
All Porsche’s welcome to display. Get excited for the unveiling the years long awaited project, the 993 Classic restoration challenge car!  The Porsche Monterey Classic event is in its fifth year, celebrating the dealership’s designation as a Certified Porsche Classic Partner. We are one (1) of only thirteen (13) Certified Porsche Classic Partners in the U.S.

The Quail Rally 2023 
In 2021, The Quail Rally will offer an opportunity to discover the back roads and spectacular vistas of Monterey County and its Pacific Ocean coastline, while raising funds for local and national charitable organizations. The Quail Rally brings together an upscale group of automobile cognoscenti and lifestyle connoisseurs, along with leading brands of today’s luxury industry.

Time to kick-off Monterey Car Week with hundreds of classic sports and luxury cars, muscle cars, newer exotics, and classic 4x4s line up along 525 Lighthouse Avenue in Pacific Grove to put on a show.

The Little Car Show 
The Little Car Show showcases 125 vehicles 25 years and older and features multi-marque mini, micro, steam, electric, and arcane vehicles of 1,800cc displacement or less from around the globe. A “special interest” category offers select limited production, custom, and modified vehicles.

McCall’s Motorworks Revival 
Join fellow car connoisseurs and airplane aficionados for an automotive party like no other. All ticket holders will enjoy an up-close look at some of the world’s most impressive airplanes and automobiles, gourmet culinary stations, an open bar with signature cocktails and non-alcoholic options, interactive entertainment, live DJ and dancing. The annual Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion is a museum revving to life with hundreds of historic and period-correct race and sports cars from nearly every era. Yet, they are not for show. Drivers race them in corresponding run groups to enjoy them at speed and for the entertainment of thousands of enthusiastic visitors. Experience rare cars firing up, being worked on, and driven as they were originally intended. Prancing Ponies All Woman Car Show 2023
Prancing Ponies provides an opportunity for women car enthusiasts to inspire girls to pursue careers in STEM. Proceeds help continue the work to ‘Create Women Leaders One Girl at a Time’. All car makes/models are welcome.

Legends of the Autobahn 
Over 300 cars will be displayed throughout the village streets and community park in Carmel Valley Village along with exhibits from event sponsors. Spectators and participants will be able to enjoy the surrounding tasting rooms, restaurants, art galleries, and shopping, which will further enhance the Legend’s experience.

Pebble Beach Tour d’Elegance by Rolex 
The Tour begins in Pebble Beach at 9 AM. Get a first glimpse of the beautiful cars that will grace the show field on Concours Sunday as the public is invited to view the Tour, without fee, at several points.

This new forum brings to the fore some of the people who have created, or made history with, or spent a lifetime caring for these cars. We hope this forum is a place where we can come together as a community, tackle some of the tough questions facing the car world and draw knowledge from experts—all while encouraging new automotive enthusiasts.

An automobilia enthusiast’s dream, Pebble Beach RetroAuto hosts a highly curated selection of rare collectibles and memorabilia from the automotive past, to the latest luxury goods and technological tools of the present.

Pacific Grove Concours Auto Rally 
This annual event is geared for those enthusiasts who own, drive, or appreciate all cars, especially Vintage, Classic, Sports, and Luxury vehicles. The Rally Drive will begin at 5pm and follows a scenic route along the magnificent Pacific Grove and Pebble Beach shoreline. The Rally returns to downtown Pacific Grove.

Werks Reunion Monterey 
Expect to view a breathtaking array of Porsches at this free-to-spectators event, from rare classics to current models and everything in between. Display your own cherished car in model-specific Porsche Corrals or enter the Porsche Judged Field and compete to win in more than 20 prize categories. Membership in PCA is not required to participate in this celebration of Porsche automotive engineering.

Concorso Italiano 
Concorso Italiano is the world’s largest luxury and exotic Italian Car show.  This is truly a multi-faceted luxury lifestyle event celebrating all things Italian; fashion, food, wine, art, and products. Concorso Italiano, famous for the diverse and significant collection of exhibited Italian cars, is centered on as many as 1,000 Italian & exotic automobiles, Italian motorcycles.  Those that attend also enjoy the Concorso Italiano Fashion Show, musical performances, and on-stage interviews with legendary automotive collectors and industry designers.

Concours d’Lemons Rally 
The Concours d’Lemons returns! An oil stain on the face of Monterey Auto Week, hoopties of all description will rattle and clatter their way to Seaside City Hall where they will be subjected to capricious celebrity judges and adoring fans. Thrift store sourced trophies will be awarded to cars in classes such as, Rust Belt American Junk, Needlessly Complex Italian and Most Dangerous. The show culminates in the presentation of the Worst of Show trophy and a car care gift pack from Griot’s Garage, the only car care products on the planet good enough to make these hoopties look nice. Classic Motorsports Magazine will be on hand to document the stupidity. The whole debacle is brought to you by Hagerty, so blame them.

25th Annual Ferrari Event at the Barnyard  
For the third year, The Big Sur Food & Wine Foundation will not only produce this year’s event, but will again be the beneficiary of the annual Ferrari Event hosted by the Barnyard Carmel, during Monterey Car Week in August. This year marks the 25th Anniversary of the Barnyard event. On Saturday, August 19th from 4pm to 7pm, Ferrari owners and aficionados can spend the early evening in the beautiful gardens at The Barnyard, while the Ferrari Owners Club will be on hand to showcase their vintage and new Ferraris. The Big Sur Food & Wine Foundation will curate a selection of wineries to pour tastings (keep your logo glass!) while guests enjoy small bites offered by the Barnyard restaurants. Stroll through the garden’s and see 100 registered cars and live entertainment on the layered patios.

Exotics on Broadway 
Since our inaugural event in 2015, EXOTICS has grown from a small gathering of exotic and supercars, to the largest single day attended event during Monterey Car Week. This unique event focused entirely on the Super, Hyper and Exotic Car phenomenon is once again partnering with the city of Seaside, CA in Monterey County, to be able to provide an even greater fan experience for years to come. With the city of Seaside as our foundation and continued spectator FREE ADMISSION, we have created a must-see event for auto enthusiasts of all ages, collectors, and new fans alike. A venue showcasing some of the rarest and exciting cars of our time, the owners and personalities behind them, alongside the manufacturers and companies that can take these cars to the next level in PERFORMANCE AND SHOWMANSHIP is the Exotics on Broadway experience.

Pebble Beach Conours d’Elegance 
Every August, the most prized collector cars in the world compete for one of the most prestigious awards in the automotive industry — Best of Show at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. A tradition since 1950, the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance has been an annual gathering of rare and antique automobiles, international automotive luminaries and motorcar enthusiasts from around the globe. The competition is held on the spectacular 18th hole at Pebble Beach Golf Links, with cars lined up and down the hallowed fairway.

Corkscrew Hillclimb & Community Day 
A different form of racing will quite literally ascend upon WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca Sunday, August 20 after the conclusion of the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion. Back for its second year, race cars and invited special guests will race counter-course from near the Start/Finish line up through the iconic Corkscrew, which has been the scene of so many famous downhill excursions, where they will finish. Fans lined the course all the way from Turn 11 through the Corkscrew to watch the spectacle in 2022, and more cars and entertaining stunts are in store for ’23 for a full day of family fun.

Sand City West End Celebration 
Sand City is known for its funky, independent and artistic atmosphere, and nowhere is that more on display than the West End Celebration. The streets of Sand City shut down and become an open-air artists’ fair, showcasing truly unique works from artists throughout Monterey County. Resident Sand City artists also open their studio doors throughout the day, inviting the public to view both completed works and works in progress. Many studios also host live performances during the event.

Artichoke Festival Charity Golf Tournament 
The Artichoke Festival and Big Choke Golf welcome you to enjoy a great day of golf at the Club at Crazy Horse Golf Ranch in Salinas, California. FOR OUR 2023 CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT, THE ARTICHOKE FESTIVAL AND BIG CHOKE GOLF have teamed up in direct support of the youth of our community. The Jr. Choke Foundation, is a non-profit organization formed to help fund sports programs and scholastic opportunities for the youth of North Monterey County High School. Started by a group of North County High alums known as Big Choke Golf, this group of friends gather together a few times a year to play golf and raise funds for the youth of their alma mater. Proceeds of the 4th Annual Artichoke Festival Charity Golf Tournament enable the Festival organization (also a 501(c)(3) non-profit), to not only continue funding the many charitable and educational non profit groups of our community that help make the Artichoke Festival a success, but also support the same group of young people for whom the Jr. Choke Foundation was created. All contributions are tax deductible. The Artichoke Festival and Big Choke Golf, are grateful for your support.

Monterey County Fair 
In addition to rousing family entertainment, carnival rides, games, and fun fair-food, the fair provides an opportunity to celebrate Monterey County’s unique history and heritage, from the aquaculture of Monterey’s coast to the abundant produce and wines from its agriculture, and the wonderful home art exhibits to the excitement of the livestock competitions.
