Christmas on the Wharf 
Beginning sat, December 1st through Sunday, December 16th, on Friday evenings from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. and Sundays from 11:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m., families are encouraged to come meet Santa and create wonderful memories with free Santa visits at his “house” and have a photo op for kids and family. Christmas holiday princesses will also be on hand to greet the children and for photo ops on Fridays from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., on Saturdays from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. and on Sundays from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. There will also be a toy drop at Santa’s house for Salvation Army.

Colton Hall Christmas Tree Lighting 
Watch downtown Monterey flip the switch on the Christmas Tree at Colton Hall this afternoon. The tree lighting ceremony will be full of cheer including carols, candles, cookies and cider.

The Ventura Winter Wine Walk & Holiday Street Fair 
The Most Magical day in Ventura will kick off with the Holiday Street Fair starting from 12pm-8pm on Main Street! The Street will be lined with vendors and live entertainment. Shop artists, crafters, non-profit organizations, commercial and food vendors. The street fair and entertainment is FREE and open to the public starting at Noon!

Annual Stillwell’s Fun In The Park 
Caledonia Park in downtown Pacific Grove behind the Post Office will be the site of a huge holiday party. Lots of wintry fun for all! Santa will arrive at noon on a shiny Pacific Grove fire truck, joining Frosty the Snowman and Snow Queen. This event features complimentary rides, bounce houses, petting zoo, and entertainment.

Monterey’s traditional Community Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration takes place on Friday on the lawn in front of historic Colton Hall from 5 – 6 pm, featuring carols, candles, cookies, cider, music and good cheer. FREE! Sponsored by the City of Monterey, First Night Monterey, and the Old Monterey Business Association.

Neighborhood Improvement Program 
The NIP advises in matters pertaining to general improvement of the neighborhoods within the City. The objectives are to encourage citizens to voluntarily comply with the various city codes relating to the general appearance of the City, make recommendations to the City Council on ways to improve the appearance of the City and to elicit voluntary cooperation to beautify and minimize vandalism in the City.

An Irish Christmas 2018

Holiday Tree Lighting and Carmel Plaza Holiday Party. 
Come and join us in celebrating the Holiday Season at the annual City Holiday Tree Lighting and Carmel Plaza Holiday Party.The City Holiday Tree Lighting is held at Devendorf Park on Ocean Avenue between Junipero and Mission, where the Monterey Fire Department will deliver Santa Claus. City Tree Lighting Entertainment starts at 3 p.m., and Mayor Steve Dallas will light the tree at approximately 5:45 p.m. Rain or Shine!!!

Jake Shimabukuro 
The ukulele, with its humble four strings and modest two-octave range, is an instrument limited only by the imagination and creativity of the person playing it. Along with his own original compositions, Shimabukuro is noted for his solo uke arrangements of such varied pieces as Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody,” Schubert’s “Ave Maria” and Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah.”

Christmas at the Adobes 
Stroll the streets of Historic Downtown Monterey and visit 19th CenturyMexican Era adobes decorated for the holidays. Enjoy fandango dance lessons at Custom House, treats at Fisherman’s Wharf or bagpipes and shortbread cookies at Robert Louis Stevenson House. Many adobes offer entertainments, refreshments, games, history and loads of fun. It’s a holiday event for the entire family! Twenty-three historic sites throughout the downtown area are within walking distance. Old Fisherman’s Wharf will join the fun with refreshments and a visit from Santa!

Nutcracker; A Monterey Peninsula Tradition with Monterey County Pops! Orchestra LIVE! 
Join the celebration as Dance Kids of Monterey County presents its twenty-fifth anniversary performances of Nutcracker; A Monterey Peninsula Tradition featuring Monterey Pops! Orchestra, LIVE! The DKMC production is the only Monterey Peninsula Nutcracker featuring a live, professional orchestra.

Held in December this is the culminating event of the year. A formal black tie event where club members are recognized with trophies for the racing series and notable contributions during the past year, including the ‘Dubious Achievement Award’ for the most inadvertent “lesson” to others.

Pebble Beach Four-Ball Championship 
Pebble Beach Resorts is pleased to invite you and a partner to participate in the 2018 Pebble Beach Four-Ball Championship. This 36-hole competition is a two-person best ball format with prizes awarded to the top three teams in gross, net and senior flights in addition to daily contests. The first round will be played at The Links at Spanish Bay, with the final round concluding at Pebble Beach Golf Links.

Monterey Bay Antiques & Vintage Market 
Monterey Bay Antiques & Vintage market is an outdoor monthly faire held at the Monterey Peninsula College . To help celebrate this event, Steven Yvaska, the antique columnist with the San Jose Mercury will be offering free appraisals of your treasures from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. The market features over 80 premium dealers from Northern and Central California . They will be selling strictly antiques and vintage items, everything from the Primitives to Mid Century Modern. The vendors will be featuring jewelry, furniture, shabby chic, re-purposed items, cloths, collectibles and so much more. The market is free to the public with free parking. Hours 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.

First seating is at 5:30 pm and second seating is at 8:30 pm.
