Salinas Valley Half Marathon 
The Salinas Valley Half Marathon begins at the historic Soledad Mission, established in 1791 as the 14th Alta California mission, located in the heart of the Salinas Valley, made famous by John Steinbeck in his novel East of Eden. The course takes runners and walkers slightly south from the Mission, then west toward the Santa Lucia mountains—well known for the vineyards of wine grapes used to produce award-winning pinot noir, chardonnay and syrah—before turning north along the base of the mountain range and winding over gently rolling hills to the west of the Salinas River.

The Annual Fiesta Dog Show 
Each year this Family Dog Show at the Carmel Valley Community Park has gained increasing popularity in our community, with all types, ages and sizes of doggie entrants. The SPCA brings a variety of adorable adoptable dogs, and many of these dogs have found new homes at this show!

41st Annual International Musical Saw Festival 
For great music that’s a cut above the rest, come to the 41st Annual International Musical Saw Festival at Roaring Camp. The big event happens when the world’s greatest saw players join other acoustic musicians in a variety of musical performances. Annual West End Celebration 
Sand City is known for its funky, independent and artistic atmosphere, and nowhere is that more on display than the annual West End Celebration. The streets of Sand City shut down and become an open-air artists fair, showcasing truly unique works from artists throughout Monterey County.

Monterey Pre- Reunion 
The Monterey Pre-Reunion provides racing fans and visitors with the chance to see more than 300 race cars competing for two full days prior to the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion. The paddock is bustling with teams working on their cars in the pits or on their way to pre-grid. The paddock is completely open to wander for enjoying the historic racing experience.

Monterey Bay Antiques & Vintage Market 
Monterey Bay Antiques & Vintage market is an outdoor monthly faire held at the Monterey Peninsula College . To help celebrate this event, Steven Yvaska, the antique columnist with the San Jose Mercury will be offering free appraisals of your treasures from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. The market features over 80 premium dealers from Northern and Central California . They will be selling strictly antiques and vintage items, everything from the Primitives to Mid Century Modern. The vendors will be featuring jewelry, furniture, shabby chic, re-purposed items, cloths, collectibles and so much more. The market is free to the public with free parking. Hours 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.

The Quail Rally brings together an upscale group of automobile cognoscenti and lifestyle connoisseurs, along with leading brands of today’s luxury industry.

12th Annual Carmel Concours on the Avenue 
Carmel-by-the-Sea’s whimsical architecture, inspired by Arthur Rackham’s illustrations for children’s fairy tales, provides a unique setting for the CARMEL-BY-THE-SEA CONCOURS ON THE AVENUE. This is the latest addition to the prestigious group of events that make up the area’s internationally known Monterey Peninsula ten-day collector car gathering, celebrating the finest in automotive design and engineering. Carmel-by-the-Sea’s world-famous Ocean Avenue will be closed to traffic and eighteen blocks of downtown will be filled with collector cars and related motorized fun. A fascinating mix of American and foreign cars will be showcased in front of a backdrop of charming shops, critically acclaimed restaurants and numerous galleries. The CARMEL-BY-THE-SEA CONCOURS ON THE AVENUE will focus on vehicles not usually seen during this ten-day period. The cars will include a variety of legendary vehicles. Well over 175 cars will be on display in groups of juried classes during CARMEL-BY-THE-SEA CONCOURS ON THE AVENUE. These will include Luxury Cars, Muscle Cars, Hot Rods and Sporting Cars.

The Little Car Show 
All marques from all countries may be accepted this year. We’ll accept a total of 100 vehicles 25 years and older. That means this year we will accept model year 1993 and older, micro, mini and arcane vehicles with no greater than 1,601 cc displacement engines or electric powered vehicles. Entries are accepted on a first come, first served basis. Registration will be closed when 100 vehicles have registered. “Drop in” entries will only be processed on show day if space is available! We also have a “Special Interest” category and may allow limited production and custom vehicles that meet the general rules and intent of the show.

Rotary Concours Auto Rally 
The Pacific Grove Rotary Concours Auto Rally is an annual event presented by the Rotary Club of Pacific Grove on the Friday of the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance weekend of Monterey Car Week. Drivers show their classic, vintage, and sports cars along Lighthouse Avenue in downtown Pacific Grove in the afternoon. Following an evening rally along the spectacular Seventeen Mile Drive coastline of Pebble Beach, all are welcome to enjoy a barbecue dinner in Chautauqua Hall.

5th Annual Werks Reunion Monterey 
The popular Porsche show Werks Reunion will be headed back to the Corral de Tierra Country Club on August 24, 2018 near Laguna Seca Raceway, during Monterey Car Week. Porsche Club of America (PCA) welcomes all Porsche clubs, owners, and enthusiasts to join us at the fifth Werks Reunion in Monterey. Membership in PCA is not required to participate in this celebration of Porsche automotive engineering. Expect to view a breathtaking array of Porsches at this free-to-spectators event, from rare classics to current models and everything in between. Display your own cherished car in model-specific Porsche Corrals or enter the Porsche Judged Field and compete to win in more than 20 prize categories.

Each year, the concours draws over 400 registered cars and over 3,000 spectators that fill the fairways of the Nicklaus Club-Monterey. Spectators are regularly greeted by rare and historically significant models, as well as factory-prepared specials.

Bonhams returns to the beautiful Monterey Peninsula for its 21st annual Quail Lodge Auction, featuring the world’s finest and most exclusive collectors’ motorcars displayed in a stunning setting on the grounds of the Quail Lodge & Golf Club. One of the landmark events taking place during the must-attend “Monterey Collector Car Week”, the Bonhams Quail Lodge Auction is the longest-running auction on the Monterey Peninsula, and is therefore one of the true highlights during a week of activities that serves as the focal point for the California summer motoring season.

Concours d’Lemons 
An ugly oil stain on the Pebble Beach Auto Week, the Concours d’Lemons returns once again to Seaside, CA on Aug 25, 2018. Hoopties, Rust Buckets, Misfits, Mistakes and the worst of the automotive world will be on display and as always celebrity judges will be accepting bribes for our Thrift Shop sourced trophies. Hagerty Insurance, Grassroots Motorsports Magazine have inexplicably sponsored the debacle, so its really all their fault. The best part is that the show is free for participants and spectators, so you’ll get exactly what you pay for.

Bulls of Summer PBR 
The California Rodeo Salinas and David Drew Productions will co-produce the Bulls of Summer on Saturday, August 25, 2018. This Professional Bull Riders Real Time Pain Relief Velocity Tour event is modeled after the Big Week Professional Bull Riding (PBR) event held in conjunction with the California Rodeo Salinas.

Concorso Italiano, famous for the diverse and significant collection of exhibited Italian cars, is centered on as many as 1,000 Italian & exotic automobiles, Italian motorcycles. Those that attend also enjoy the Concorso Italiano Fashion Show, musical performances, and on-stage interviews with legendary automotive collectors and industry designers.

Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance 
Begun in 1950, this concours is the top-ranking collector car competition in the world. It is also the event to which most other modern concours now trace their roots. Initially modeled on the early European concours that showcased new cars, the Pebble Beach Concours shifted its focus to collector cars in 1955—and other concours followed suit. It has also taken the lead by including racing greats and offering featured marques and special classes as early as 1953, introducing displays of dream cars and concepts in the 1980s, and instituting driving events and emphasizing the importance of preservation in the 1990s.

The world-famous Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance draws participants from all over the world to display their rare vehicles and compete for coveted awards on the 18th Fairway of the Pebble Beach Golf Links. This event is the crown of Concours Week on the Monterey Peninsula, and offers not just superlative vehicles and beautiful views, but celebrity appearances, Champagne, cigars, elegant attire and the chance to support several important local charities.
