Alice in Wonderland at the Wharf Theatre-Summer Camp Production
It’s the classic story we all know and love, but with new characters to add to the fun! Join Alice on her journey to Wonderland, and follow along with the White Rabbit, the Cheshire Cat, and the Mad Hatter! Based on the beloved classic by Lewis Carroll. Let The Wharf Theatre help your child find their inner voice and shine on stage! Through our two-week production camp, your child will learn valuable stage skills and acting techniques while building confidence, making friends, and having fun! Classes will culminate with two performances, Friday July 28 at 7:30pm and Saturday July 29 at 7:30pm. No prior experience necessary! All skill levels are encouraged!

Boz Scaggs is an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist who gained fame in the 1960’s as a guitarist and lead singer with the Steve Miller Band. He has produced many platinum albums and Scaggs continues to write, record music, and tour. In the 1970’s, he had several solo Top 20 hit singles, including the hits, “Lido Shuffle” and “Lowdown” from his critically acclaimed album, Silk Degrees

Toad the Wet Sprocket at the Golden State Theatre 
When Monty Python’s Eric Idle created the fictional band “Toad the Wet Sprocket” for the program “Rutland Weekend Television” in 1975, he never dreamed that anyone would actually use such a silly name. Fast forward to 1986, when four California teens adopted the moniker as a joke for their first gig at a Goleta, CA watering hole called The Shack.

Salinas Valley Half Marathon
The Salinas Valley Half Marathon begins at the historic Soledad Mission, established in 1791 as the 14th Alta California mission, located in the heart of the Salinas Valley, made famous by John Steinbeck in his novel East of Eden. The course takes runners and walkers slightly south from the Mission, then west toward the Santa Lucia mountains—well known for the vineyards of wine grapes used to produce award-winning pinot noir, chardonnay and syrah—before turning north along the base of the mountain range and winding over gently rolling hills to the west of the Salinas River.

Watsonville Strawberry Festival 2017 
Down by the Monterey Bay in California, there’s an event that would make the strawberry lover’s day. It’s called the Watsonville Strawberry Festival and it just might be the next best thing to eating your way out of a giant strawberry. The family-friendly event features food (including plenty of fresh strawberries), a carnival, live music and more.

Each year this Family Dog Show at the Carmel Valley Community Park has gained increasing popularity in our community, with all types, ages and sizes of doggie entrants. The SPCA brings a variety of adorable adoptable dogs, and many of these dogs have found new homes at this show!

The Monterey Pre-Reunion provides racing fans and visitors with the chance to see more than 300 race cars competing for two full days prior to the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion. The paddock is bustling with teams working on their cars in the pits or on their way to pre-grid. The paddock is completely open to wander for enjoying the historic racing experience.

The big event happens when the world’s greatest saw players join other acoustic musicians in a variety of musical performances. Malibu to Monterey 
Its a well known fact that the goldRush family has a strong presence in Southern California and the cars of choice are second to none. Imagine meeting up in Malibu and then riding alongside such legendary cars as the 1950’s Mercedes SL300’s, Bugatti Veyrons, Ferrari 458s, Lamborghini Aventadors and some of the best modified Porsches and Maseratis. We’ll be carvanning all the way up the coast to the gorgeous Monterey area of Northern California to enjoy the epic annual Car Week event. A light breakfast at the start of the rally and lunch is included.

11th Annual Carmel Concours on the Avenue 
Carmel-by-the-Sea’s world-famous Ocean Avenue will be closed to traffic and eighteen blocks of downtown will be filled with collector cars and related motorized fun. A fascinating mix of American and foreign cars will be showcased in front of a backdrop of charming shops, critically acclaimed restaurants and numerous galleries. The CARMEL-BY-THE-SEA CONCOURS ON THE AVENUE will focus on vehicles not usually seen during this ten-day period. The cars will include a variety of legendary vehicles. Well over 175 cars will be on display in groups of juried classes during CARMEL-BY-THE-SEA CONCOURS ON THE AVENUE. These will include Luxury Cars, Muscle Cars, Hot Rods and Sporting Cars.

4th Annual Carmel Mission Classic 
combining the passion for fine automobiles with the Faith and the Palate. Enjoy wine tasting by some of Monterey County’s finest vineyards, a self-guided tour, and beautiful live harp music in the background as you stroll the grounds of the crown jewel of the Monterey Peninsula, the Historic Carmel Mission. The Little Car Show 
Scandinavian vehicles will be featured this year, but marques from all countries may be accepted. We’ll accept a total of 100 vehicles 25 years and older. That means this year we will accept model year 1992 and older, micro, mini and arcane vehicles with no greater than 1,601cc displacement engines or electric powered vehicles. Entries are accepted on a first come, first served basis. Registration will be closed when 100 vehicles have registered. “Drop in” entries will only be processed on show day if space is available! We also have a “Special Interest” category and may allow limited production and custom vehicles that meet the general rules and intent of the show.

We wanted to offer up our friends and fans a slice of the atmosphere during a stop on the goldRush Rally, so we began working with the City of Monterey to create an event unlike anything else at Car Week. Legends of the Autobahn 
Legends of the Autobahn plays host to beautiful BMWs of all ages, as well as entrants from the Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, and Audi clubs who will share this event. The Concours will be held on Friday, August 18 from 8am-3pm at the Nicklaus Club. Judging and displays are limited to members of the four respective clubs, but the public is welcome to walk the grounds and enjoy the beautiful array of German cars!

Rotary Concours Auto Rally 
The Pacific Grove Rotary Concours Auto Rally is an annual event presented by the Rotary Club of Pacific Grove on the Friday of the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance weekend of Monterey Car Week. Drivers show their classic, vintage, and sports cars along Lighthouse Avenue in downtown Pacific Grove in the afternoon. Following an evening rally along the spectacular Seventeen Mile Drive coastline of Pebble Beach, all are welcome to enjoy a barbecue dinner in Chautauqua Hall.

Concours d’Lemons
An ugly oil stain on the Pebble Beach Auto Week, the Concours d’Lemons returns once again to Seaside, CA on Aug 19, 2017. Hoopties, Rust Buckets, Misfits, Mistakes and the worst of the automotive world will be on display and as always celebrity judges will be accepting bribes for our Thrift Shop sourced trophies. Hagerty Insurance, Grassroots Motorsports Magazine and Calypso Lemonade have inexplicably sponsored the debacle, so it’s really all their fault. The best part is that the show is free for participants and spectators, so youíll get exactly what you pay for.

Pebble Beach Tour Concours d’Elegance 
Spectators on roads around Pebble Beach and Carmel-by-the-Sea will be transported back to the past as classic cars participating in the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance drive by on Thursday, August 17. The tour will depart Pebble Beach at 9am and eventually end at Ocean Avenue in Carmel-by-the-Sea. The cars will be displayed from noon to 2pm on Ocean Avenue, and then will return to Pebble Beach. For some of these vehicles, successful completion of the Tour will be their key to a win in Sunday’s Concours.

Monterey Bay Antiques & Vintage Market 
Monterey Bay Antiques & Vintage market is an outdoor monthly faire held at the Monterey Peninsula College . To help celebrate this event, Steven Yvaska, the antique columnist with the San Jose Mercury will be offering free appraisals of your treasures from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. The market features over 80 premium dealers from Northern and Central California . They will be selling strictly antiques and vintage items, everything from the Primitives to Mid Century Modern. The vendors will be featuring jewelry, furniture, shabby chic, re-purposed items, cloths, collectibles and so much more. The market is free to the public with free parking. Hours 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.
